Crispy Potato and Chayote Fritters

This recipe is an excellent side dish for any protein, very simple to prepare and represents a delicious blend of flavors.

  • Calories: 170 kcal.

  • Grams of fat: 5 gr. equals 1 fat serving.

  • Grams of protein: 3 gr. equals half a protein serving

  • Grams of carbohydrates: 30 gr. equals 2 carbohydrate servings

Ingredients:

  • 100 gr grated potato

  • 100 gr grated butter chayote

  • 1 teaspoon of coconut oil or other oil of your preference

  • salt and pepper to taste

Preparation:

  • Grate the potato and chayote. Remove excess liquid with a paper towel, place it on top and press.

  • Mix the potato and chayote.

  • Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the oil and coat the skillet well with it.

  • Place the potato and chayote in the skillet, spread it throughout the skillet, sprinkle with salt and pepper. Let cook for 1 to 2 minutes.

  • Flip the mixture and cook on the other side, leave in the skillet for 5 minutes or until golden and crispy. Serve
